Every implant restoration moves through five stages: data capture, case planning, design, fabrication, and delivery. Data capture is the intraoral scan or PVS impression of the implant position, soft tissue, and opposing arch. Case planning is where the lab technician and clinician align on abutment angulation, emergence profile, occlusion, and shade. Design is the CAD work, custom abutment first, then the crown or bridge superstructure. Fabrication is the mill or print cycle plus the ceramic layering or staining. Delivery is the try-in and final seat at the chair.
