Every All-on-X case starts with the digital file, not a phone call to a separate guide vendor. Surgeons and prosthodontists upload CBCT data and intraoral scans directly through our Medit Link or 3Shape Communicate portal. Our technicians use coDiagnostiX and Blue Sky Plan for surgical guide design, cross-referencing the prosthetic plan before the guide is approved, so the emergence profile and occlusal scheme are baked into the surgery, not retrofitted afterward. The guide and the prosthetic share the same digital origin file. For the prosthetic itself, we mill monolithic zirconia full-arch frameworks on our in-house Dentsply Sirona inLab MC X5 unit. Screw-access channels are positioned to the planned implant trajectory from the surgical guide, which means we are not guessing angulation after the fact. Titanium inserts are torqued and verified before glazing. Every full-arch piece goes through a photographic shade and contour check with the assigned technician before shipping. Custom abutments, whether titanium or zirconia, are designed in 3Shape Dental Designer using the emergence profile parameters the clinician specifies at case intake. We do not use generic emergence profiles as defaults. Periodontists in particular see a meaningful difference in soft-tissue response when the abutment shoulder is contoured to the actual ridge anatomy, not a stock average. That conversation happens at case intake, not at delivery. For offices running higher All-on-X volume, including DSO groups managing implant cases across multiple locations, we offer a standing case protocol: a shared digital preference card that eliminates the repeated setup conversation for every new case. Turnaround expectations, screw-access preferences, shade conventions, and courier routing are documented once and applied across every case. That protocol reduces back-and-forth by roughly two exchanges per case. Quality verification on implant cases runs a three-point check: fit on the analog, photographic documentation of contour and emergence, and a technician sign-off before packaging. The technician's direct line ships with the case. If a fit question comes up at try-in, the person who built the prosthetic is reachable within the same business day, not routed through a customer service queue.

What file formats do you accept for All-on-X case submissions?
We accept STL, PLY, and DCM files from any major intraoral scanner, including iTero, Medit, 3Shape TRIOS, and Carestream. CBCT data for surgical guide design comes in as DICOM. We work through 3Shape Communicate, Medit Link, or direct upload via our send-a-case portal. If your office uses a different transfer method, contact us before the first case and we will configure the handoff before anything ships.
How long does a full-arch All-on-X provisional take from scan receipt to ship?
Most All-on-X provisionals ship within 5 business days of receiving a complete, approved digital file. Cases that arrive with CBCT and intraoral scan on the same day, with a clear prosthetic plan attached, hit that window consistently. Cases requiring design approval rounds or shade consultation may add 1-2 days. We confirm the expected ship date at case intake so there are no surprises at the surgery appointment.
Do you design surgical guides in-house, or do you outsource that step?
Surgical guide design is done in-house using coDiagnostiX and Blue Sky Plan. We do not outsource to a separate guide vendor. The same technician team that designs the guide also plans the final prosthetic, so implant position, screw-access angulation, and emergence profile are coordinated before the guide is printed, not adjusted after surgery.
What materials do you use for All-on-X final prosthetics?
Our standard full-arch final prosthetic is monolithic zirconia milled on the Dentsply Sirona inLab MC X5. For cases where esthetic demands require individual tooth layering, we can discuss a hybrid zirconia-ceramic approach with the assigned technician at case intake. Titanium inserts are included and verified at torque spec before glazing. We also mill PEEK transitional frameworks for cases with extended provisional timelines.
Can you handle both the surgical guide and the final prosthetic for the same All-on-X case?
Yes. That single-lab workflow is the core of how we handle implant cases. One digital file, one lab, one accountable technician from guide approval through final prosthetic delivery. There is no prosthetic handoff to a second vendor after surgery. For oral surgeons and prosthodontists who have dealt with accountability gaps between a guide company and a separate restorative lab, this is the primary reason they move their cases to Dani Dental.
How do you handle custom abutment design for periodontists managing soft-tissue outcomes?
Custom abutments are designed in 3Shape Dental Designer using the emergence profile parameters you specify at case intake, not a generic stock default. We ask for the ridge anatomy, desired tissue margin depth, and any soft-tissue grafting context before we design. Periodontists working on post-graft cases particularly benefit from having that design conversation before milling, because changes to emergence geometry after milling mean starting over.
Do you offer a standing protocol for DSO groups running implant volume across multiple offices?
Yes. For DSO groups at roughly 10 to 30 offices with consistent All-on-X volume, we build a shared preference card: screw-access conventions, shade standards, courier routing, and turnaround expectations documented once and applied to every case across every location. What happens if there is a fit issue at the implant try-in appointment?
The technician who built the case ships their direct contact line with every case. If a fit question comes up at try-in, you reach that technician directly, not a general customer service queue. Our implant remake rate sits below 2.5% across trailing 12-month data, but when a remake is needed, we prioritize it and confirm a revised ship date within the same business day the issue is reported.
