Austin Hand-Layered Porcelain Veneers

Austin cosmetic dentistry practices run at a high tempo. Smile makeover cases, photography-driven treatment planning, and a patient base that researches every detail before they sit in the chair. THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Large national-network labs treat veneer cases as throughput. A case enters a queue, gets assigned to whoever is available that shift, and ships back with a generic remake policy attached. That model works adequately for crown-and-bridge volume. It falls short on hand-layered esthetic work, where micro-decisions about incisal haze, cervical chroma, and surface macro-texture are made continuously across multiple firings. A technician who is seeing your case for the first time on the third firing is not the same resource as one who has carried it from the first build-up. Dani Dental's named-technician model means the person who opened your case is the person who glazed it and packed it. If a remake is ever needed, that same technician reviews what changed and rebuilds without charging you a second lab fee, provided the original prescription and records are unchanged. Our remake rate across all veneer cases sits below 2.5 percent over the trailing twelve months. We state that number publicly because accountability requires a number, not a policy statement. Austin cosmetic practices will also find our pricing transparent before a case ships, not after. We provide a written range at case acceptance based on unit count and complexity tier, so your front desk is not reconciling a surprise invoice against a treatment plan that already closed. Communication turnaround on case status inquiries is four business hours or less. That commitment is in writing on every new account agreement.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

Austin cosmetic dentistry practices run at a high tempo. Smile makeover cases, photography-driven treatment planning, and a patient base that researches every detail before they sit in the chair. That environment demands veneers that hold up to scrutiny under both operatory lighting and natural Texas sun. Hand-layered porcelain is the answer to that scrutiny. Unlike pressed or milled monolithic restorations, each veneer in a hand-layered set is built up in incremental feldspathic layers, fired multiple times, and characterized by a single technician who controls translucency and surface texture at every stage. At Dani Dental, we assign one named technician to each Austin veneer case from model receipt through final glaze. That technician reviews your shade prescription, your intraoral photographs, and any digital smile design files you send. Cases accepted by 10 a.m. Monday through Friday ship back to your Austin address within five to seven business days for standard sets. Rush scheduling is available for eight or fewer units with prior coordination. Every case ships with the technician's direct line, not a support queue. We accept full intraoral scans (STL or native scanner files from iTero, Medit, and 3Shape), traditional PVS impressions, or a hybrid workflow combining a digital bite with analog impressions. Austin practices transitioning to fully digital workflows will find our digital intake process straightforward. Our team will walk you through the first case at no additional charge, including a pre-production shade confirmation call if the case complexity warrants it.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

What file formats does Dani Dental accept for Austin veneer cases going fully digital?
We accept STL files and native scanner exports from iTero, Medit, 3Shape, and most major intraoral scanner platforms. For Austin practices submitting their first digital veneer case, our intake team will confirm compatibility before you finalize the scan and ship records. Traditional PVS impressions and hybrid workflows combining digital bites with analog impressions are also accepted without any file surcharge.
How does named-technician assignment work for multi-unit veneer cases?
At case acceptance, one technician is assigned and their name appears on your case receipt and packing slip. That technician builds every unit in the set, manages all firing stages, and performs final characterization and glaze. If you call or email for a case status update, the response comes from or is coordinated directly with that technician, not a general support team. For sets of ten or more units, a senior technician co-reviews final glaze before shipment.
What is the standard turnaround for hand-layered veneer sets shipped to Austin?
Standard turnaround is five to seven business days from model receipt to shipment for sets of up to ten units. Rush scheduling, targeting three to four business days, is available for sets of eight units or fewer and requires prior coordination at case submission. Austin is within our standard two-day ground shipping zone from our Arizona lab, so total delivery time from receipt to your chair is typically seven to nine business days on a standard order.
How does Dani Dental handle remakes on hand-layered veneer cases?
If a remake is needed and the original shade prescription and records are unchanged, we rebuild without a second lab fee. The same named technician who built the original set performs the remake. We track our remake rate across all veneer cases and it currently sits below 2.5 percent over the trailing twelve months. Remakes driven by changes to the clinical prescription or patient preference after delivery are handled case by case with transparent pricing before work begins.
Can Dani Dental work with digital smile design files from Austin cosmetic practices?
Yes. We accept DSD files, smile design exports from common cosmetic planning software, and reference photographs directly. The assigned technician reviews the design file alongside your shade prescription and intraoral photographs before beginning layering. If there is any ambiguity between the design file and the prescription, we contact you within one business day of receiving the case to confirm direction rather than proceeding on an assumption.
How is pricing communicated for Austin veneer cases, and when is the invoice issued?
We provide a written price range at case acceptance based on unit count and complexity tier. That range is confirmed as a fixed invoice amount before the case ships, so your Austin practice knows the number before the patient's delivery appointment. We do not issue surprise invoices after delivery. New accounts receive a written pricing schedule at onboarding, and any changes to the schedule are communicated at least thirty days in advance.
