What zirconia grades does Dani Dental use for monolithic crowns?
We stock 3Y tetragonal zirconia for high-strength posterior applications and 5Y cubic-phase discs for cases where translucency and anterior aesthetics are the priority. The technician on your account selects the grade based on your clinical zone designation and the shade prescription you send. If you have a specific material preference, note it on the prescription and we will match it.
Can Avondale practices send digital scans instead of physical impressions?
Yes. We accept STL files directly from iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit i700, and Carestream systems with no conversion fee. Upload through our case portal or email the file to your assigned technician. Digital intake does not change the five-day standard turnaround. Physical PVS impressions are also welcome and go through the same window after in-house pouring.
How do I reach my technician if I have a question mid-case?
Every case ships with the direct phone number of the technician who built it. No ticketing system, no shared support inbox. If you call during lab hours (7 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST, Monday through Friday) you will typically reach your technician directly or receive a callback within two hours. Questions about margin fit, shade decisions, or occlusal adjustments go to that same line.
What is the turnaround time for a monolithic zirconia crown from an Avondale practice?
Standard turnaround is five business days from the day we receive a usable digital scan or a poured impression. Rush cases completed within three business days are available for a stated fee noted on your account agreement. Avondale's proximity to our courier routes means same-day pickup is available on rush cases when you call before 10 a.m.
What happens if a crown does not fit and needs to be remade?
If the remake traces back to a lab error, such as a margin read, an occlusal discrepancy in the model, or a shade miss relative to the prescription, there is no charge for the new unit. We ask for the original crown back, the case file, and any photos of the seating issue. Most remake decisions are resolved and the new case is back in production within 24 hours of that documentation arriving.
Does Dani Dental handle single-unit posterior cases or primarily multi-unit work?
Both. Single-unit posterior monolithic zirconia is one of the highest-volume case types we run. There is no minimum unit requirement and no surcharge for single-unit submissions. Multi-unit bridges in full-contour zirconia follow the same five-day standard window for spans up to four units. Longer spans or full-arch cases are quoted separately based on design complexity.
