Henderson Monolithic Zirconia Crown

Henderson practices work fast. Same-day prep appointments, high patient volume along the Anthem and Green Valley corridors, and a mix of PPO-heavy and fee-for-service schedules mean your lab turnaround cannot be the bottleneck. Monolithic zirconia is the right call in that environment: no porcelain layer to fracture, consistent marginal fit from a fully milled blank, and strength numbers (1,000-1,200 MPa in high-translucency grades) that hold up across bruxers and implant-supported cases alike.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE SERVICE

Built to your prescription.

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Most national-network labs processing Henderson cases route them through a centralized milling hub where no single technician owns the case end to end. The file goes in, the crown comes out, and if something is off on the buccal emergence or the contact is tight, you are filing a ticket rather than calling a person. Dani Dental operates on a named-technician model: one technician reviews the scan or impression, designs the crown, and handles finishing. That person's name is on the packing slip. Large regional lab networks in the Southwest often quote aggressive turnaround windows that apply only to their fastest-tier SKU, then charge rush fees for anything outside it. Our standard 5-business-day window covers the full case: design, mill, stain and glaze, and quality check against your original prescription. Rush options exist, but the standard queue is not a bait-and-switch. On quality accountability: our remake rate for monolithic zirconia sits below 2.5% across active accounts. When a remake does occur, the same technician who built the original handles the correction, with no additional charge and no procurement maze. Henderson doctors sending 20-plus units per month report chair-time savings tied directly to lower adjustment rates at seat. That is the metric that matters in a high-volume practice.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

Dani Dental mills monolithic zirconia from curated blanks in pre-shaded and multilayer configurations. Cases that arrive as a calibrated intraoral scan move into the CAD queue the same business day. Shade selection uses Vita Classical and 3D Master references; external staining and glaze are applied by the technician assigned to your account, not rotated through a general finishing floor. Every crown ships with the direct contact line of the technician who built it. For Henderson doctors managing large implant cases alongside bread-and-butter single-unit work, monolithic zirconia also anchors screw-retained implant crowns and cement-retained restorations on stock and custom abutments. If your plan is to consolidate all-ceramic and implant-supported crown work under one roof, this is the service line where that consolidation starts.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

What file formats does Dani Dental accept for Henderson monolithic zirconia cases?
We accept STL and PLY files from all major intraoral scanner platforms, including iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, and Medit. Cases submitted as PVS or polyether impressions are scanned in-house on arrival. Digital cases entering the queue before 2 PM local time are typically in CAD design the same business day. Physical impressions add one business day for scanning and model fabrication before design begins.
What zirconia grades do you stock for single-unit crowns?
We mill from high-translucency multilayer zirconia (approximately 700-800 MPa) for anteriors and premolars where esthetics are the priority, and from high-strength monolithic grades (1,000-1,200 MPa) for posteriors, bruxers, and implant-supported restorations. Grade selection is made with the prescribing doctor based on prep design, occlusal load, and esthetic zone. We do not default every case to a single blank material.
How does shade matching work on monolithic zirconia crowns?
Cases submitted with a Vita Classical or 3D Master shade designation are matched using pre-shaded multilayer blanks where available, supplemented with external staining in up to four depth zones. For complex shade tabs or adjacent restorations with custom characterization, we request a shade photo or a short video clip under natural light. The same technician who designs the crown handles the staining and glaze layering.
What is your turnaround time for Henderson practices?
Standard turnaround for a single-unit monolithic zirconia crown is 5 business days from confirmed scan receipt or impression delivery. Rush cases submitted before noon can be scheduled on a 3-business-day track; rush availability is confirmed case by case, not guaranteed. Multi-unit cases of 4 or more crowns on the same arch are quoted individually based on complexity.
Do you handle implant-supported monolithic zirconia crowns?
Yes. We fabricate cement-retained crowns on stock and custom titanium abutments, and screw-retained monolithic zirconia crowns with UCLA-style or Ti-base connections. We work with Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Zimmer Biomet, and Implant Direct platform geometry. Scan body compatibility is confirmed at case intake. Implant-supported cases follow the same named-technician workflow as natural-tooth restorations.
What happens if a crown does not seat correctly?
If a monolithic zirconia crown from Dani Dental does not seat due to a lab error, we remake it at no charge. The same technician who built the original handles the correction. We ask for a brief description of the seating issue and, where possible, a periapical radiograph showing the marginal gap. Most remake cases ship within 3 business days of confirmation. Our remake rate across all active accounts is below 2.5%.
