Las Vegas Digital Case Design Collaboration

Digital case design collaboration at Dani Dental means the design conversation happens before a single unit goes into the mill. Las Vegas practices submit intraoral scans or CBCT data, and our technicians build a full digital wax-up, annotating occlusal contacts, emergence profiles, and shade mapping in the file itself. You review, mark up, and approve before fabrication begins. Nothing ships that you have not already seen in three dimensions.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Most national-network labs route design reviews through a ticketing queue. A request submitted Monday may not reach a technician until Wednesday, and the response is often a rendered image with no annotation and no direct contact. Dani Dental's model is different at the structural level: every Las Vegas account is assigned a named technician who owns the case from scan receipt to delivery. That technician's direct line goes into every case packet. Response time on design questions is measured in hours, not business days. Agency-tier dental labs often build impressive digital infrastructure but route cases through rotating technician pools. Consistency suffers when a second or third technician picks up a case mid-cycle without full context. Dani's three-generation bench history means the technicians doing the design work are the same people who have run these workflows for years, not onboarded contractors hitting a production quota. The technical setup matters too. Our digital collaboration workflow accepts files from the major intraoral scanner platforms without requiring format conversion on the practice side. Las Vegas accounts using iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, or Carestream scanners can submit directly. No third-party translation layer, no file degradation from export-import cycles. The design your technician reviews is the same geometry your patient's mouth produced.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

For high-volume practices running implant-supported restorations, full-arch reconstructions, or multi-unit anterior esthetic cases, this workflow removes the back-and-forth that kills chair time. A Las Vegas restorative dentist running four chairs cannot afford a remake that pulls a patient back for an unscheduled appointment. The pre-approval loop closes that risk before the zirconia block is touched. Collaboration extends past the wax-up. If a case involves a surgical guide component, a temporary that needs to match the planned final, or a multi-provider situation where an oral surgeon and a prosthodontist are both in the treatment plan, our team coordinates the digital handoffs so the design intent carries through every phase. Las Vegas is a referral-dense market; we understand that the restorative relationship is often multi-clinician.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

Which intraoral scanner formats does Dani Dental accept for digital collaboration cases from Las Vegas?
We accept files from iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, and Carestream scanners in their native export formats. CBCT data submitted as DICOM is also accepted for implant planning cases. Las Vegas practices do not need to convert files before submission. If your scanner platform is not listed here, contact your assigned technician directly and we will confirm compatibility before your first case.
How long does the digital wax-up review cycle take?
Standard design review turnaround is 48 hours from scan receipt for most single-arch and multi-unit cases. Full-arch implant cases with a surgical guide component may require 72 hours. Rush review windows are available for time-sensitive cases; discuss the schedule with your technician when submitting. Approval confirmation from the practice restarts the fabrication clock immediately.
Can multiple providers in a Las Vegas referral case review the same digital design file?
Yes. For cases involving both a surgical provider and a restorative provider, we can export the design file in a format both parties can open and annotate. We coordinate the digital handoff and note any conflicting markups before finalizing the approved version. This is common in full-arch All-on-X cases where an oral surgeon and prosthodontist are both actively involved in the treatment plan.
What happens if I want to request changes after the wax-up review but before fabrication starts?
Changes requested during the review window are incorporated at no additional charge in most cases. Your technician will confirm revised turnaround time after the change scope is clear. The case does not enter the milling queue until you have given written or text approval on the final design version. This is the point of the pre-approval loop: catching adjustments before fabrication, not after.
Does digital case design collaboration cost more than submitting a traditional case?
Digital collaboration cases are priced as part of the case type, not as a separate service fee. A zirconia crown case submitted with a digital wax-up approval carries the same base price as a standard submission. The pre-approval step is included because it reduces our remake exposure and yours. Transparent pricing ranges are available on the Doctor Kit materials; request a kit to review the fee schedule before your first case.
How does Dani Dental handle shade matching for esthetic anterior cases submitted from Las Vegas?
Shade mapping is annotated directly in the digital design file, referencing Vita Classical or Vita 3D-Master tab designations depending on your preference. For complex anterior esthetics, we recommend including shade photographs taken under standardized lighting alongside the scan. Your named technician reviews both before building the wax-up and flags any discrepancy between the photographic reference and the digital geometry before the approval step.
