SERVICE
Mesa Intraoral Scan Acceptance
Mesa practices that have invested in chairside scanning hardware need a lab that closes the loop. Submitting a scan file should not mean waiting to hear whether the margins are readable, whether the bite registration transferred, or whether the antagonist arch imported correctly. At Dani Dental, every incoming scan is reviewed by the assigned technician within one business day. If something looks off, your team gets a direct call or message from that technician, not a generic rejection ticket from a queue.
- Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
- A named technician on every case
- Margins verified against your prescription
- Tempe + Tucson locations

THE DETAIL
How we build it.
Large national lab networks process scan files through centralized intake departments where the person reviewing your margin is not the person cutting the restoration. The file moves through a queue. Questions go to a case coordinator who relays them to a technician. That relay adds a day, sometimes two. Dani Dental assigns a named technician to your account. That technician reviews your scan, flags concerns directly, and carries the case through to completion. You call one number. You text one person. Some regional labs in the Mesa corridor still treat intraoral scans as a secondary intake option, defaulting to PVS as the production-ready format. That reflects lab-side workflow preference, not patient or clinician preference. Dani Dental's production floor was built around digital-first: the milling and design infrastructure is calibrated for scan-derived geometry, not reverse-engineered from analog impressions converted post-facto. The difference shows in margin adaptation and occlusal fidelity on the finished unit. On price transparency: scan-submission cases at Dani Dental are priced the same as analog cases for equivalent restorations. There is no digital-submission surcharge and no file-format fee for the 12-plus scanner systems we natively support. If a remake is needed because of a lab error on a digitally submitted case, it ships at no charge. That policy is stated in writing before your first case, not discovered after an invoice dispute.
GETTING CASES TO US
Logistics, to the bench.
The East Valley market has seen rapid scanner adoption since 2022. iTero Element 5D Plus, Medit i700, and 3Shape TRIOS 5 are the most common systems we receive files from at this lab. All three integrate directly into our 3Shape Design Center workflow without intermediate conversion. That means the geometry you captured in the chair is the geometry we mill or press from. No STL re-meshing, no tolerance stack-up from a third-party translator. For Mesa accounts running high-volume crown and bridge, this workflow compresses the case cycle materially. A well-captured scan submitted by 2 p.m. can be in design review the same afternoon. Complex full-arch cases take longer by nature, but the digital handoff still eliminates the 24-to-48-hour window that standard PVS impressions spend in transit and disinfection before anyone touches them.
