San Francisco Snap-On Implant Overdenture

San Francisco practices handle a demanding implant overdenture case mix. The city's patient population skews older in neighborhoods like the Richmond and Sunset districts, and edentulous or near-edentulous adults presenting for implant-supported removables often carry complex restorative histories. Your lab needs to read a case, not just fill an order. At Dani Dental, each snap-on overdenture starts with a scan review, not a stone model assumption. We accept STL files from any intraoral scanner and CBCT exports from your implant planning software.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Large national-network labs processing thousands of removable cases per week run on volume logic. Your San Francisco overdenture case gets routed through a queue, reviewed by a different technician each time, and any communication question lands in a ticket system. The turnaround estimate is a range, not a commitment. Dani Dental operates differently. A named technician owns each case from scan review through delivery. You call that person directly. If there's a seating concern after delivery, you have 48 hours of direct access to resolve it without a remake ticket and a 10-day wait. Smaller regional labs in the Bay Area market often lack the digital workflow infrastructure to handle full-arch implant overdenture cases from scan to delivery without a physical impression conversion step. That extra step adds 2 to 3 days and introduces a distortion variable that matters in implant prosthetics where passive fit is not negotiable. Dani Dental's Arizona production center is fully digital from intake to milling, with no conversion step required for practices already on an intraoral scanner. If you send us a scan, we build from the scan. That is not a universal lab capability in 2025, even though it should be.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

If you're working with a 2-implant locator protocol or a 4-implant bar-and-clip design, we confirm the attachment system, vertical dimension, and occlusal scheme before we open the case in production. For Bay Area accounts specifically, we've built the turnaround window around your Caltrain and BART commute reality: cases dropped by 9 AM Pacific ship same-day on standard turnaround, and we don't charge a California freight surcharge. Overdentures are fabricated in high-impact heat-cured acrylic or milled PMMA depending on case indication. Metal frameworks, when needed for bar-retained designs, are cast in-house, not outsourced to a third-party frame lab. That single-vendor control is why our remake rate stays under 2.5%. Every San Francisco case ships with the direct extension of the technician who built it.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

Which attachment systems does Dani Dental support for snap-on overdentures?
We fabricate overdentures for Locator, Locator R-Tx, ball-attachment, and custom bar-and-clip systems. If you're using a less common attachment from a specific implant system, send us the case details before submission and we'll confirm compatibility. We keep common Locator and ERA housings in stock to avoid attachment sourcing delays.
Do you require a physical impression, or can I send a digital scan?
Digital scans are preferred. We accept STL files from all major intraoral scanners including iTero, Trios, Medit, and Carestream. If your workflow still involves a physical impression for edentulous arches, we can work from a poured model, but digital intake eliminates the distortion variable that matters most in passive-fit implant prosthetics.
What is the standard turnaround time for San Francisco accounts?
Standard turnaround is 5 business days from case acceptance to ship. Cases submitted by 9 AM Pacific are logged same-day. Expedited 3-day turnaround is available for an additional fee. We ship to Bay Area accounts via FedEx Priority Overnight at standard freight rates, with no California surcharge added to your invoice.
How do you handle a seating issue after delivery?
If a snap-on overdenture doesn't seat correctly at delivery, call the technician directly. Every case ships with that person's direct line. We do not route post-delivery concerns through a general intake queue. If a remake is warranted due to a lab error confirmed within 30 days of delivery, we remake it at no charge and expedite the return case.
What materials do you use for the overdenture base?
We fabricate in high-impact heat-cured acrylic for most bar-retained and 2-implant locator cases. Milled PMMA is available for cases requiring tighter dimensional tolerance or where a monolithic approach is indicated. We discuss material selection during case review, not after fabrication. If the indication calls for a metal-reinforced base, the framework is cast in-house.
Can I submit my first case without a prior account setup?
Yes. New San Francisco accounts can submit a first case through the Doctor Kit intake workflow. You'll receive a case submission form, a prescription pad, and direct contact information for your assigned technician. Account setup takes under 10 minutes. There is no minimum case volume requirement and no enrollment fee.
